DBRC CHAELA GONDA 5 MILE SUNDAY 19TH JUNE 2022

 

Join us for the DBRC Chaela Gonda 5 Mile on Sunday June 19th.  The route is a lovely 5 miles (8k) along the roads and cliff path trails of Howth, Co. Dublin. This fun, friendly event will cater for all levels - from walkers to runners. It starts and finishes at The Summit Inn.The race is chip timed (for the competitive among you) and there are finishers medals for all.

Numbers can be collected on race day from 8:00am at the Summit Inn (race start location)

Where can I find my results ?

Will prizes be given ?
Prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Male and Female winners

Are there toilet facilities ?
Toilets at the Summit Inn open from 8am

Is there car parking at the event ?
There are two public car parks, one above the Summit Inn at the Summit, and one on Carrickbrack Road, both are only a few minutes walk to the start line.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Greetings all ! Dublin Bay Running Club is open for membership, membership for 2021 is just €75

For this €75, you get registered with Athletics Ireland, you get to be part of one of the best clubs in running. We cater for runners from beginners to Ultra marathon runners, everyone is welcome and encouraged, we believe in the power of running and in the power of positive encouragement, so come and join us and be part of one of the most exciting running clubs in Ireland.

Training is every Tuesday evening, with multiple sessions available to suit all levels. Thursday evening is an open running session and we have a trail run for all levels every Saturday morning.

Many of our members are involved in tri and Ironman events, so if you are interested in adding these disciplines to your training, or your looking for some tri training partners then why not join us.

Our club takes part in events all over the country and around the globe, a large group travel each year to Lanzarote for the marathon, half marathon and 10K .

Full membership is €75 which includes AAI affiliation.  
It's still €50 if you are a student or if you are unemployed !

 

 

Our club motto - “Me, We!”

Me, we.” by Muhammad Ali is the shortest poem recognised by Oxford University. Ali used it to sum up his career, as in there can be no “me” without “we” – the support of his family, his friends and his fans. It's same with our club...we only succeed when we work together.

Through the East of Ireland Marathon Series, Dublin Bay Running Club aims to make running events such as 10kms, half marathons, full mararthons and ultra marathons affordable and convienient for the runners of Ireland. We aim to promote marathon running and to make the process as stress free and enjoyable as possible. All courses are measured to full AAI standards and have a minimum of 10 Entrants. The races are self sufficent to a degree although there is a limited supply of water available on the day.
